Young Farmers & Ranchers
The Young Farmers and Ranchers Program is a committee of the Merced County Farm Bureau that organizes programs and activities directed towards young adults between the ages of 18-35. YF&R is a group that facilitates professional development and social networking opportunities among young farmers, ranchers and people who work in agriculture related jobs. YF&R is an opportunity for passionate agriculturalists to connect with individuals who have the same professional interests and challenges. District 9 State Committee Representative - Sarah Baskins
Sarah was raised and currently resides in the Central Valley. She is a recent graduate of California Baptist University where she received her MBA in General Management and California State University, Stanislaus where she received her BS in Agricultural Studies with a concentration in Agricultural Economics. Sarah works for AgIS Capital Investment, LLC in Turlock as an Operations Analyst. Her love and passion for agriculture began at a young age and has always been in her family. Aside from school and work, Sarah enjoys hunting, spending time with her family, hiking, and advocating for the agriculture industry. Sarah enjoys being apart of YF&R so she can connect with other individuals that share the same passion as her and achieve alike goals. She is also the California Farm Bureau YF&R District 9 State Committee Representative for Madera, Mariposa and Merced counties. She believes her involvement and drive to engage in the agriculture industry and YF&R will help bridge the gap between generations and consumers.
